NOS OEUVRES
PSAUME 34, 18
L’Eternel est près de ceux qui ont le coeur brisé, il sauve ceux qui ont l’esprit abattu.
MATTHIEU 25, 31-46
31 Lorsque le Fils de l'homme viendra dans sa gloire, avec tous les anges, il s'assiéra sur le trône de sa gloire.
32 Toutes les nations seront assemblées devant lui. Il séparera les uns d'avec les autres, comme le berger sépare les brebis d'avec les boucs;
33 et il mettra les brebis à sa droite, et les boucs à sa gauche.
34 Alors le roi dira à ceux qui seront à sa droite: Venez, vous qui êtes bénis de mon Père; prenez possession du royaume qui vous a été préparé dès la fondation du monde.
35 Car j'ai eu faim, et vous m'avez donné à manger; j'ai eu soif, et vous m'avez donné à boire; j'étais étranger, et vous m'avez recueilli;
36 j'étais nu, et vous m'avez vêtu; j'étais malade, et vous m'avez visité; j'étais en prison, et vous êtes venus vers moi.
37 Les justes lui répondront: Seigneur, quand t'avons-nous vu avoir faim, et t'avons-nous donné à manger; ou avoir soif, et t'avons-nous donné à boire?
38 Quand t'avons-nous vu étranger, et t'avons-nous recueilli; ou nu, et t'avons-nous vêtu?
39 Quand t'avons-nous vu malade, ou en prison, et sommes-nous allés vers toi?
40 Et le roi leur répondra: Je vous le dis en vérité, toutes les fois que vous avez fait ces choses à l'un de ces plus petits de mes frères, c'est à moi que vous les avez faites.
41 Ensuite il dira à ceux qui seront à sa gauche: Retirez-vous de moi, maudits; allez dans le feu éternel qui a été préparé pour le diable et pour ses anges.
42 Car j'ai eu faim, et vous ne m'avez pas donné à manger; j'ai eu soif, et vous ne m'avez pas donné à boire;
43 j'étais étranger, et vous ne m'avez pas recueilli; j'étais nu, et vous ne m'avez pas vêtu; j'étais malade et en prison, et vous ne m'avez pas visité.
44 Ils répondront aussi: Seigneur, quand t'avons-nous vu ayant faim, ou ayant soif, ou étranger, ou nu, ou malade, ou en prison, et ne t'avons-nous pas assisté?
45 Et il leur répondra: Je vous le dis en vérité, toutes les fois que vous n'avez pas fait ces choses à l'un de ces plus petits, c'est à moi que vous ne les avez pas faites.
46 Et ceux-ci iront au châtiment éternel, mais les justes à la vie éternelle.
Oeuvrons pour l’Eternel
Beaucoup d’enfants de Dieu sont dans la détresse, et n’ont pas de secours :
- Les gens sont désintéressés ou regardent à leurs propres difficultés
- Beaucoup n’ont pas les moyens de les aider ou n’ont pas les structures nécessaires
pour oeuvrer...
Cependant, rien ne justifie la non-assistance. Nous pouvons toujours faire une “bonne action” ,
même si elle nous semble dérisoire : un morceau de pain dans la journée est mieux que le
ventre vide toute la journée. Le gîte pour une nuit, est mieux que dormir toutes les nuits dans la rue. Un sourire et un mot gentil sont mieux que l’indifférence...Et si nous nous organisons, même à tour de rôle, cela fait plus de pain et moins de nuits dehors pour la même personne.
Un vêtement propre est mieux que pas d’habit décent pour porter.
Nous ne faisons ici que donner des exemples car nous ne pouvons faire un sermon : L’attitude vient du coeur : FAITES QUELQUECHOSE pour les personnes qui ont besoin d’aide.
De nombreuses associations caritatives sont déjà à l’oeuvre, mais ce n’est pas suffisant.
De notre côté, nous planifions à travers l’ Eglise de la Moisson
- de propager mondialement un programme de “PREVENTION INDIVIDUELLE DE LA MALADIE”

- d’organiser dans les grandes villes du monde un service de nourriture et de logement pour les personnes en situation précaire.

WHAT WE DO
PSALM 34, 18
The Lord is near those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.
MATTHEW 25, 31-46
31 When man's Son shall come in his majesty, and all his angels with him, then he shall sit on the seat of his majesty [then he shall sit on the siege of his majesty];
32 and all folks shall be gathered before him, and he shall separate them atwain, as a shepherd separateth sheep from kids [and he shall part them atwain, as a shepherd parteth sheep from kids];
33 and he shall set the sheep on his right half, and the kids on the left half [and the kids forsooth on his left half].
34 Then the king shall say to them, that shall be on his right half, Come ye, the blessed of my Father, take ye in possession the kingdom made ready to you from the making of the world [Come ye, the blessed of my Father, wield ye, or take ye in possession, the kingdom made ready to you from the beginning, or making, of the world].
35 For I hungered, and ye gave me to eat; I thirsted, and ye gave me to drink; I was harbourless, and ye harboured me [I was harbourless, and ye gathered, or harboured, me];
36 naked, and ye covered me; sick, and ye visited me; I was in prison, and ye came to me.
37 Then just men shall answer to him, and say [saying], Lord, when saw we thee hungry, and we fed thee; thirsty, and we gave to thee drink [thirsty, and we gave thee drink]?
38 and when saw we thee harbourless, and we harboured thee [when forsooth saw we thee harbourless, and we gathered thee to harbour]; or naked, and we covered thee?
39 or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and we came to thee?
40 And the king answering shall say to them, Truly I say to you, as long as ye did to one of these my least brethren, ye did to me.
41 Then the king shall say also to them, that shall be on his left half, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, that is made ready to the devil and his angels [which is made ready to the devil and his angels].
42 For I hungered, and ye gave not me to eat; I thirsted, and ye gave not me to drink; [For I hungered, and ye gave not to me for to eat; I thirsted, and ye gave not to me for to drink;]
43 I was harbourless, and ye harboured not me [I was harbourless, and ye gathered not me to harbour]; naked, and ye covered not me; sick, and in prison, and ye visited not me.
44 Then and they shall answer to him, and shall say, Lord, when saw we thee hungering, or thirsting, or harbourless, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and we served not to thee?
45 Then he shall answer to them, and say, Truly I say to you, as long as ye did not to one of these least, neither ye did to me.
46 And these shall go into everlasting torment; but the just men shall go into everlasting life.
Let us work for God
An incredibly number of God’s children are left desperate, with no help, all over the world.
- Many people do not care, or are too busy trying to solve their own difficulties.
- Many people don’t have the money or the power and structures that will enable them to help.
However, nothing can justify non assistance. We always can do a “good action”, even if we think
it is nothing : one piece of bread for one day, is better than no bread at all that day.
A place were to sleep for one night is better than sleeping on the street every night. And if we are organised and take turn, that is more bread and less nights on the street.
A smile or a kind word is better than indifference. A clean shirt is better than dirty clothes.
All this are just examples: we cannot make a sermon : willingness to provide help comes from the bottom of the heart. LET US DO SOMETHING FOR THOSE WHO NEED HELP.
Many charities are already doing a great job, but there is too much to do.
On our side, we plan through the church to :
- develop across the world an INDIVIDUAL ILLNESS PREVENTION PROGRAMME.
